New York Connects Information and Assistance (I&A) Certificate Program
This five-course certificate program should take approximately 18.5 hours to complete. Learners will have until December 31, 2024, to complete the program. Those planning to enroll in both programs must complete this program before accessing the next.
Required Courses
- Core Issues in Aging and Disabilities (6 hours)
- A Guide to the Aging and Disability Networks (4 hours)
- Assessment with Older Adults and Persons with Disabilities (4 hours)
- The Universe of New York State Programs: Identifying Sources of Support (1.5 hours)
- New York No Wrong Door in Action (video course) (3 hours)

New York Connects Person-Centered Counseling (PCC) Certificate Program
This four-course certificate program should take approximately 15 hours to complete. Learners will have until December 31, 2024, to complete the program. Those planning to enroll in both programs must complete this program after completing the I&A certificate program.

- Understanding Consumer Control, Person-Centered Planning, and Self-Direction (4 hours)
- Care Transitions (4 hours)
- Mental Health Options Counseling (4 hours)
- A Foundation in Ethics, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving (3 hours)
