Professional Summary
With 40 years experience in the field, Meg Stafford currently works with adolescents, families, adults and couples around relationships, anxiety, and depression. After earning her MSW from Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW), Meg worked at Boston’s Beth Israel Hospital on a medical unit, as well as the outpatient clinic, directed a psychiatric halfway house for adolescents with a mental illness, and worked at Pembroke Psychiatric Hospital before moving to private practice in 1990. She has also completed graduate certificates in Organizational Consulting as well as Executive Coaching at William James College, which support her area of interest in the workplace. She has previously taught in the online master program for BUSSW.
Meg is the author of two award-winning books, Topic of Cancer: Riding the Waves of the Big C, a memoir about real time experience and escapades through breast cancer, and Who Will Accompany You? My Mother-Daughter Journeys Far From Home and Close to the Heart, taking readers to Nepal, Bhutan, and Colombia with her daughters, addressing the inner workings of their relationships, as they explore the far flung places on the planet.
