Professional Summary
Gretchen has more than 40 years of experience as a clinician, including teaching (undergraduate and nursing students), direct clinical practice with patients and families coping with major medical and psychiatric health challenges, and supervising Family Practice, Psychiatry Residents and MSW interns. She has published in a GYN text book (Glass’s Office Gynecology), in substance abuse journals and in the general press as a co-author of a book “But Dad! A Survival Guide…” . Currently she is writing a book related to the professional development of mental health clinicians across a career.
Gretchen has presented nationally and internationally on topics such as clinical use of genograms with patients, ethical considerations of egg and sperm donation, and working effectively on multidisciplinary teams. She has also taught at the undergrad university level in the area of sexuality and sexual functioning across the lifespan for over 10 years, while an adjunct faculty member at both the University and Medical School levels. She enjoys teaching, sparking insight and new awareness, and presenting to growth-focused colleagues and the general population. She looks forward to supporting that growth through training in a variety of settings and with varying groups of learners.
