CADER Wins National Award for Innovative Training Program
The Center for Aging & Disability Education & Research (CADER) at BUSSW was selected by Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging to receive the Promising Practices Award. This honor highlights organizations that are moving away from conventional practices by developing and implementing new and innovative approaches in aging well or long-term care and senior living communities. CADER was chosen as a winner based on their training program for professionals who work with older adults. The training teaches people to recognize and respond to older individuals with behavioral health concerns—an area often unaddressed in aging services.
