Beginning in June 2021, CADER became part of a new initiative called The Network for Professional Education at Boston University School of Social Work and can be found here on this newly designed website — featuring all the same innovative training and certificate programs you have come to know. This new site’s clean, accessible design has an intuitive portal for the learning catalog, as well as additional professional development options for you to explore.

What has stayed the same?

Nothing will change with CADER. The name, mission, and values will remain the same on The Network website. CADER is the signature program and the primary training and research arm of this new initiative. We’ll continue to provide high quality training, tools, and support – all on one platform with multiple modalities.

What’s new?

As a client or student of The Network, you will have access to all of CADER’s original offerings, plus our new initiative also gives you access to:

  • A robust and interactive website, which will serve as a portal for health and social service professionals seeking continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • New areas of expertise outside of aging and people with disabilities, to respond to new demands and challenges in the fields of health and social work.
  • A new component called The Trainers Hub. The goal of The Trainer’s Hub is to build a database of trainers available to partner with organizations on a wide range of subject areas. We plan to recruit and certify new trainers, all of whom are Boston University School of Social Work faculty members and graduates of the CADER certificate programs.

All of these new offerings are based on the strong foundation we built at CADER and the work we’ve done together –your feedback and partnership throughout has been invaluable. We understand that these transitions can be challenging, yet we are confident that this new website will help CADER do what it does best, and more. If you have any questions about this exciting expansion, please don’t hesitate to reach out
