Olita’s career spans a wide spectrum of clinical and training environments. She began her work in child welfare, later advancing to field supervisor, and went on to spend more than two decades at New York-Presbyterian Hospital’s Adult Outpatient Department. There, she specialized not only in psychotherapy but also in training and supervising clinicians in advanced CBT and ACT interventions. Her clinical practice has included working with clients facing severe behavioral health challenges as well as those managing complex medical conditions, always with a commitment to culturally responsive, individualized care.

As an educator, Olita has taught graduate and post-graduate courses nationwide, including with Boston University School of Social Work’s Online Programs and The Network for Professional Education. She is widely recognized for her engaging, practical teaching style that translates research into real-world strategies for clinicians. Her published work on multidisciplinary and multi-setting CBT supervision reflects her dedication to advancing clinical training across diverse systems of care.

Today, Olita continues to innovate as both a trainer and clinician. She offers specialized workshops in CBT and ACT for community mental health professionals, helping them build skills to serve clients with a wide range of needs. In addition to her training work, she maintains a thriving private practice in White Plains, New York, and Florida.
