How do I register?

You can register for any CADER online course, certificate, or webinar right from our Learning Catalog. Just click the blue “Register” button on the course description page, and our registration tool will guide you through the process step by step.

Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning for more learning, we’re here to help. You can also check out our Registration Guide for extra support along the way.

If you’re part of a statewide or agency training program, please follow the instructions in your welcome email to make sure your registration is completed correctly.

How do I reset my password?

If you need to reset your password, visit the BU My Account portal and select “Reset Forgotten Password.” Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.

How do I change my username?

Your BU account username is your email address. If you no longer have access to the email address, you previously used to register for a BU account, contact the BU IT Help Center (ithelp@bu.edu or 617-353-HELP).

How do I pay?

Learners registering individually will be prompted to submit payment during the registration process. All payments are securely processed through our third-party system, Nelnet, which accepts American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.

If you’re registering as part of an agency or statewide training initiative, you’ll receive a dedicated registration link that bypasses the payment steps.

How do I request technical assistance?

Are CADER courses and certificates accessible to a screen reader?

Yes. Blackboard Ultra courses are designed to be screen reader accessible, ensuring an inclusive learning experience for all learners. For the best experience with CADER courses and certificate programs, we recommend using one of the following free screen readers:

NVDA– available for download on PCs
VoiceOver – built into Mac devices

While CADER courses are compatible with screen readers, learners who need additional support are encouraged to contact the BU Office of Disability & Access for assistance. Please note that Boston University does not provide technical support for specific screen reader software. If you experience issues with your screen reader, please reach out directly to the screen reader’s technical support team.

Registered CADER learners can also find detailed information about accessibility within the Start Here module in their Blackboard course.

I completed my registration, but cannot yet access my course in Blackboard.

This may occur if you have not completed your registration or if you have not finalized setting up your account. To complete your learner profile, click on the course/certificate registration link then enter the email address and password you used when registering. The system should redirect you to the learner profile. Complete all required fields, then click save.
