Online Certificates
Description
Designed as a Train-the-Trainer program, this self-paced online course is a series of three self-paced, integrated sections on best practices in training that can be completed in three hours. Developed in collaboration with our Network Alumni Training Board, the certificate covers core competencies in these key areas:
- Preparing for Success in Training
- Curriculum Design and Implementation
- Assessment and Evaluation
Successful completion of the Train-the-Trainer certificate program will certify trainers to join our Network Trainers Hub. The Trainers Hub is designed to match trainers with organizations to interested in conducting in-person trainings, virtual webinars, review online courses, serve as online course authors, and provide consultation to a wide variety of BUSSW clients.
The Trainers Hub provides opportunities to work together with The Network for Professional Education at BU School of Social Work on our important mission to further develop the competencies and skills of the health and human services workforce.
* Available to all members of the BU community, including alumni, BUSSW faculty, instructors, advisors, and certificate graduates of our CADER and online CBT programs.

Contributing Authors:
Elise DeWinter Eckelkamp, MSW, MEd. An alumna of BUSSW, she has served as a Field Instructor, Faculty Advisor, Course Developer, Course Facilitator as well as member of our Network Alumni Board. In addition to training and coaching, her practice areas include education, child health and welfare, differing abilities, family support, housing, systems change, and the development of strategic collaborative partnerships.
Katherine Hobart, MSW, PhD, LCSW is a Visiting Scholar at CADER and member of our Network Alumni Board. As a long-standing practitioner, researcher and professor of community practice social work, she specializes in Human Services Management and Program Evaluation.
Bronwyn Keefe, PhD, MSW, MPH is the Assistant Dean of Workforce and Professional Development at Boston University School of Social Work where she is also the Director for The Center for Aging and Disability Education and Research (CADER) and The Network for Professional Education.
Amelia Paini, MSW, Program Manager for Curriculum Development, Boston University School of Social Work.
